PRAYER REQUESTS

Dear Kerugma Supporter,
We would like to keep you informed of our whereabouts of the next couple of weeks. We highly value your prayers for us during this time.  As you already know, the Lord willing, we will join the Christian Travel Studies tour with Dr Randall Smith again from 17 to 29 May 2012. The tour program for the May tour was altered specifically to enable us to film those parts that we still need in order to complete the Israel part of the Exploring the Lands of the Bible - series.   After the tour we plan to visit some more sites to get footage to use in the programs. Therefore we will only be back by 11 June 2012.

During this time Dalene Swanepoel, a dear friend of us, will be at the office every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 19:00 till 20:30. She will be able to take orders or to give advice on products. You will be able to order on our website, and she will send out everything in stock. The orders that we won’t have in stock during this period, we will ship as soon as possible after 11 June.

Herewith we would like to ask you to pray with us for the following:
 *Through your generous donations 80% of what we need for the flight tickets, the tour fees and the additional accommodation and transport after the tour, had been provided for. Praise the Lord with us for that. Please pray that the Lord will soon provide the rest.

*The broadcast world is changing fast and the SABC is at present busy upgrading to the new High Definition (HDTV) standard. Therefore, if we at Kerugma still want to have our programs broadcasted in the future, we also need to upgrade our equipment. Therefore we needed to import specific camera equipment for this tour. There would be no need to film it at a lower standard. The Lord led a few of our supporters to donate towards this cause, thus we received a small percentage of the money needed. Because the Lord started to provide and the tour arrangements were already  in place, we stepped out in faith and bought the most necessary equipment needed. Amongst that are two cameras. Without going into all the technical detail we just want you to urgently pray that the Lord will provide the necessary funds to pay the debt on this. We thank the Lord that this equipment arrived here just in time for our departure.

*Please pray that these cameras will stay in perfect working condition all the time and that we will be able to handle them. As the way these cameras are operating, is completely new to us, and we haven’t had the time to learn to operate it, please pray that we will be able to catch on quickly.

*For many of the sites we need filming permission. It is not always clear how and where to get the necessary permission and this can be a real hurdle sometimes. Please pray that we will get the needed permission wherever needed.

During the time of our absence (15 May till 11 June) please pray for the following:
1. For Randall, for his health and that he will be able to clearly deliver every presentation without any distractions.
2. For the health and stamina of Naas and Marina to carry the cameras and tripods, to find the best spots everywhere in time to film each presentation in the best possible way.
3. For the health and protection of everyone on tour.
4. That all the equipment will be safe and stay in perfect working condition all of the time during this tour.

*After the tour we plan to visit some more sites to get footage to use in the programs. Please pray for wisdom to carefully select the sites needed in the limited available time.

PS. Another very important prayer request: the SABC is at present viewing and considering airing the rest of the Exploring the Lands of the Bible series. PLEASE PRAY that they will decide to broadcast all of it in the near future. This is really a wonderful opportunity to get the message out.
